I am currently investigating the effect of impurity elements added to sheet ferritic steels, looking to create prototype alloys that are representative of 'tramp' elemental contamination that would be expected from high-scrap content steels produced via the electric arc furnace process. My particular area of interest is how these compositions affect the microstructure and properties of the alloys.
